The Webbing Annual Platform Fee Renewal ensures uninterrupted connectivity and continued platform access for active Webbing DATA SIM cards. This annual renewal is required to keep DATA SIMs operational and managed through the Webbing system.

Applicable Use Cases

The annual platform fee applies to Webbing DATA SIM cards only and is typically used in deployments such as:

• LTE and Wi-Fi routers
• Remote or managed installations

Webbing IoT SIM cards operate on a different fixed-term model and do not require an annual platform fee.

Data and Service Limitations

The annual platform fee provides platform access and SIM management only and does not include data.
Data must be purchased or topped up separately according to the selected DATA SIM plan.

Failure to renew the platform fee may result in SIM suspension or loss of portal access.

Coverage and Validity

Webbing DATA SIMs and associated platform services are available for South African deployments only.
This renewal provides 12 months of continued platform access from the date of activation.

Difference Between Webbing ‘IoT’ SIM and ‘DATA’ SIM

Webbing IoT SIM

The Webbing IoT SIM is a once-off purchase that includes both a Webbing SIM card and a fixed-term, fixed-data bundle. It is a low data solution designed for devices such as smart alarm systems, GPS trackers, PTT radios, and IoT sensors that transmit small amounts of data predictably over long periods.

When either the data allowance or the term expires, the SIM can be renewed for a new fixed term or converted to a Webbing DATA SIM if higher data usage is required.

Webbing DATA SIM (this product)

The Webbing DATA SIM is designed for moderate to high data applications such as 4G CCTV cameras, LTE routers and smart home hubs. DATA SIMs operate on a flexible data model, with data bundles valid for 24 months, subject to an active annual Webbing platform fee.

Additional data can be purchased as required via online data top-ups making this option ideal for devices with variable or higher data usage.
